Getting Started

What does Nora do?

Nora is an AI phone receptionist. She answers your business calls in a natural Australian voice, qualifies the lead, books appointments, captures details, and sends you a transcript and summary the moment the call ends.

How do I sign up?

Download Nora from the App Store, create your account, complete the 5-minute onboarding (business details, working hours, services), and pick an Australian mobile number. Nora is answering calls within minutes.

Do I need new hardware or to forward my existing number?

No. Nora gives you a brand-new Australian mobile number that the AI answers directly. You can hand it out as your primary business line, or use it as a “spillover” number alongside your existing one.

Which businesses does Nora work for?

Any small Australian business that takes bookings by phone — tradies, salons, clinics, studios, mobile services, personal trainers, vets. If your customers ring you to book, Nora can answer.

What does it cost?

Plans start at $39/month for Starter (150 AI minutes, 75 SMS, 1 user). Pro is $89/month and Business is $169/month. There's a Pay-As-You-Go plan with no monthly fee for very low volume — you pay $5/month for the phone number plus $0.30/min and $0.10/SMS only when you use them. See pricing for full details.

Calls & AI

How does the AI answer calls?

When someone rings your Nora number, the AI greets them in Australian English, asks what they need, checks your live availability, and offers to book. Bookings drop straight into your calendar. You get a push notification with the caller details and full transcript.

Can I choose how much the AI takes over?

Yes. In Settings → AI Assistant:

  • Full AI — Nora answers every call directly.
  • Voicemail-only — your phone rings first; Nora picks up only if you don't answer in 20 seconds.
  • No AI — the AI is off; calls forward to you and are recorded for your records.
What if a call is urgent?

Nora flags emergencies during the call and sends you a high-priority push notification immediately so you can call the customer back. You'll see an “Urgent” tag on the call in the app.

Can Nora answer in languages other than English?

Right now Nora speaks Australian English only. Multi-language support is on the roadmap.

Are calls being recorded?

Yes. Calls handled by Nora are recorded and transcribed so you can review them and so the AI can extract job details. Recordings are stored securely and only accessible to you. We never sell or share your call data. You can delete any recording from the call detail screen.

Billing & Subscriptions

How do I upgrade or change my plan?

In the app, go to Settings → Subscription. Plan changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions purchased through the App Store are managed by Apple. Open iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Nora → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com — choose your Nora subscription and follow the prompts. Apple will respond directly.

What happens if I run over my plan's call minutes or SMS?

Overages are billed at the rates listed on your plan page in the app. If you're consistently hitting your limit, upgrading is usually cheaper than overages.

Do you offer annual billing?

Not currently — all plans bill monthly. Annual plans are coming soon.

Account & Data

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your business data within 30 days. You can also email support@noraai.au and we'll do it for you.

How do I export my data?

Email support@noraai.au with the subject “Data export” and we'll send you a copy of all your business data (calls, clients, appointments, quotes) within 7 business days. A self-serve export option is on the roadmap.

Can I add team members?

Yes, on Pro and Business plans. In the app: Settings → Team → Invite member. You can give each member owner, admin, or employee access. Employees only see their own appointments and assigned calls.

My phone number isn't ringing — what do I do?

First, confirm in Settings → Phone that your Nora number is shown as Active. If it is, send yourself a test SMS to that number from another device. If that doesn't work, email support@noraai.au with your business name and we'll investigate.
